Tiger Woods announced on Tuesday that he’s joined with Pebble Beach and TaylorMade to create a new junior event, the TGR JR Invitational.

The three-day event, scheduled for October 8-10, will be in the Pebble Beach area with the first two qualifying rounds being played at The Hay — a short course at Pebble Beach recently redesigned by Woods’ TGR Design firm — and the final day will be at The Links at Spanish Bay.

The field will consist of 60 boys and 60 girls made up from diverse backgrounds. Participants will be selected via an application process.

“Hosting this event at The Hay at Pebble Beach is a perfect venue to showcase a fun and competitive atmosphere for a talented group of young golfers,” Woods said.

TaylorMade Golf president and CEO David Abeles added: “We are proud to partner with TGR Live and the Pebble Beach Company to provide this unforgettable experience to deserving young golfers.”

The Peter Hay Golf Course has been at Pebble Beach since 1957, when head professional Peter Hay was committed to the concept of a short course, where he wanted to create a unique place for juniors, families and friends to bond over the game. Woods’ built on Hay’s concept in 2021 and redesigned the course, which has an exact replica of Pebble Beach’s famed par-3 seventh hole.
