While LIV Golf awaits the start of its second season in February, it looks like the social media team have a bit of spare time on their hands — and they got into the World Cup mood by getting fans to vote for their ideal starting XI on the football field.

One man who did not relish the idea of 90-plus minutes running around on the pitch was Phil Mickelson, who agreed with one Tweeter that he would die if he had to marshal the midfield in a game of football.
Fans voted for Marc Leishman in goal, behind a defensive line-up of Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Henrik Stenson and Martin Kaymer.
Paul Casey and Cameron Smith are on duty on the wings while Jaco Niemann is alongside Big Phil, with Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia up front.
Something tells me that line-up would not worry too many contenders in Qatar this month.
