Cameron Smith at the LIV Golf Invitational pro-am at The International outside Boston. LIV Golf
By Matt Smith
New recruit, world No. 2 and Open champion Cameron Smith will tee off his first-ever round alongside fellow major winners Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson at The International outside Boston on Friday.
The Australian is in good company in one of the LIV Golf fourth event’s marquee groups with American Masters and US Open champ Johnson, plus Sweden’s 2016 Open winner Stenson.
Stenson won the individual tournament on his LIV debut last time out in Bedminster, while DJ’s 4 Aces have claimed the last two team titles.
Smith’s fellow new recruit and fellow Punch team member Marc Leishman goes out with Hy Flyers captain Phil Mickelson and Fireballs skipper Sergio Garcia.
Chilean No. 1 Joaquin Niemann will make his bow alongside big-hitting Bryson DeChambeau and Talor Gooch in the shotgun start (1.15pm local time, 9.15pm UAE).
