The UAE MEn’s team are all set to take part in the 41st Pan Arab Men Golf Championship this weekend in Tabarka, Tunisia, at Golf la Cigale.

Some 48 golfers representing 13 Arab countries will compete, from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Palestine, and the host country Tunisia.

This is the fourth time that Tunisia has hosted these championships since the creation of the Tunisian Golf Federation in 1992.

The Championship is run over four rounds, the best three scores in a team of four are counted toward each round. Individual scores of players from each country are also recognised for individual Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals.

“It has been an important year for the Emirates Golf Federation, and for the UAE National Golf Programme,” said Akram Skaik,, Director General of the Emirates Golf Federation. “This championship will be a celebration of not only the UAE programme but the work that the Arab Nations have put into the sport of golf over the past 12 months.

“I’d like to congratulate the Tunisian Golf Federation on hosting this year’s championship, and we look forward to the future for many more successful events within the region.”
