The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) and Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) have officially announced that the governing bodies will be bringing the Future Falcons – National Junior Development Program (NJDP) into 20 schools’ physical education programs across the entire United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In the next six weeks, the EGF with the assistance of the Emirates PGA coaches will host over 150 lessons for 20 different ESE Academies reaching over 500 students.

To celebrate this semester’s launch of the Future Falcons NJDP in the schools, the EGF and Al Hamra Golf Club hosted students to the DP World Tour Ras Al Khaimah Championship where they received a clinic from 15-time DP World Tour winner, Padraig Harrington, and UAE-based resident Rafa Cabrera Bello.

The EGF is aiming to push participation for all nationals and residents, but more importantly, the EGF is implementing a program that will not only develop golfers but also focus on Long Term Athletic Development.

In addition to the collaboration with ESE, The Future Falcons – NJDP will soon be implementing the “Unleash Your Drive” program within five schools across Abu Dhabi.

This program will create a window of opportunity for children to experience the game of golf during school hours by providing the teaching staff with equipment and a full physical education golf program guide.

The initiative is backed by The R&A and The Golf Foundation and these are the first steps to creating more golfers and growing the golfing community within the country.

Moving forward children from these schools will have the opportunity to join classes at their local golf club and continue their journey, making friends for life and having fun along the way.

Together with the Emirates Schools Establishment, Emirates PGA, UAE golf clubs, and The R&A, the Future Falcons – NJDP will continue to introduce golf in the schooling systems across the UAE.

These initiatives will drive participation to new heights and undoubtedly be the origin of the country’s next elite golfers.
