England’s Dominic Morton birdied the first playoff hole against Denmark’s Viktor Kofod Olsen at Al Zorah Golf Club, to claim his maiden Emirates Golf Federation and World Amateur Golf Ranking title.

Morton carded rounds of 73, 71 and 72 to tie the final round leader Olsen at the end of the three rounds, sending the pair to extra holes in which the 18-year-old came out on top at the first time of asking.

The Trump International Dubai Member now heads back to the UK for the summer, before embarking on furthering his golfing career at Texas in August on a golf scholarship at Odessa University.
