In just under 24 hours time, 50 of the best amateur golfers within the UAE, will compete in the 2023-2024 Order of Merit Championship at Al Zorah Golf Club in Ajman.

Fresh off hosting their first Clutch Pro Tour event earlier this year, the (Jack) Nicklaus Designed course along with the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) are staging the 54-hole tournament in which the overall season’s EGF Order of Merit winner will be crowned as well as the Order of Merit Champion.

The Men’s and Ladies’ Divisions will be competed over three rounds of Strokeplay, while the Junior Division, a 36-hole Strokeplay format.

Familiar faces in the UAE golfing scene taking part include Jonathan Selvaraj and Dan Byrne, while Oscar Craig will look to finish the season strong after a fantastic performance in the recent UAE Challenge at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, in which he made the cut in his first professional event.

Faye Al Blooshi – EGF

Faye Al Balooshi has her eyes on the Ladies Division title, as she will be holding off a strong field chasing her down over the three days of competition.

In the Junior Division, there will be both a Boys and Girls category. Francisco Ronnqvist and Daul Kim will start the weekend leading their respective divisions.

It looks set to be a fitting end to another successful golfing season in the UAE.
