Launch monitors like TrackMan have revealed the true importance of a centered strike. It sounds obvious, but few of us actually practice hitting it out of the middle, right? Even the guys on the PGA Tour don’t catch it flush all the time, but where regular golfers can improve is by learning to identify which part of the clubface the ball has been struck by, be it the toe or the heel, and then knowing which swing adjustments to make from there.
