Yas Links has become the first golf club in the Middle East to install Toptracer technology to its game improvement Golf Academy.

Offering the same ball-tracking technology that follows the shots of the game’s best players on TV, Toptracer provides instant shot replays and statistical feedback on interactive game screen in the bays.

The tech not only allows players to make swing adjustments and immediately see the impact on their shots but also transforms Yas Links’ driving range into an entertainment hub for golfers old and new.

In addition to the technology now operational in six bays, the Yas Links Golf Academy has undergone a makeover. Each bay now features a table and chairs which enables guests to enjoy food and drinks out on the range without having to take a break from their practice.

The Toptracer experience will cost AED100 per hour for a maximum of four players per bay and includes unlimited range balls for the duration of the session.

“To be the first venue in the Middle East to install Toptracer is extremely exciting,” said Lee Mathew Waggott, Golf Operations Manager at Yas Links.

“Our goal is to become the preferred place in Abu Dhabi to practice and with this now opening, we have completely changed the offering the academy has. The addition of the technology shows the forward-thinking initiatives here at Yas Links for all consumers to enjoy. We look forward to seeing both existing and new players enjoying the Toptracer range”.

With the new short game area which opened in May 2018, Yas Links has turned their academy into a family-friendly training facility the rival of anything in the region.
