Another cut made in the books for Tommy Fleetwood as he makes the weekend, but this time as looper for his stepson Oscar, in the UAE Challenge at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club on the Challenge Tour.

Oscar, who is playing in his maiden Challenge Tour event, qualified for the event back in February after winning in Ras Al Khaimah thanks to one of the 30 spots on offer through the Emirates Golf Federation, as he heads into the weekend at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.

See below Oscar’s scorecards for the opening two rounds:

Oscar is the only amateur in the field to make the weekend, as he finished out his second round in style with birdie on the par five ninth hole to sign for a one over par 73, to make the cut at two under par and in a tie for 42nd.

Leading the way is England’s Joshua Berry, the 18-year-old who led at the start of the day, followed up his opening round of 65 with a four under par 68 on Friday in Abu Dhabi.

A score that could have been better had it not been for three dropped shots in his last three holes at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.

Berry leads by two shots from Hamish Brown and big-hitting Wilco Nienaber who are in joint second with five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy a further shot back.
