Tommy Fleetwood has confirmed the expansion of his Tommy Fleetwood Academy with a new location set to officially open today at Yas Links Golf Course, Abu Dhabi.
The addition builds on the success of his academies in Southport and Dubai, further strengthening his connection to golf development in the UAE.
“The challenge has been going great and continues to grow all the time,” Fleetwood said at the DP World Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. “The community we’ve built in Dubai and Southport is having a really positive impact, and I love seeing it grow. Having one in Abu Dhabi is going to strengthen our relationship with Dubai Golf and VIYA, and being part of the golf ecosystem in the UAE is very meaningful to me.”

The eight-time DP World Tour winner, who has long considered the UAE a second home, sees the new academy as a continuation of his mission to inspire more people and juniors to play the game and chase their ambitions.
“I’ve always played so many events here and my family have chosen to live here, so this region means a lot to me,” he said. “Anything I learn out here on tour or in life, I want to pass that down and help somebody. The academy has been a huge part of that so far. I feel very lucky with the coaches we have in Southport, Dubai, and now here. The UAE has been so good to me from a professional and personal level, and being able to give back and build here is big for us.”

Fleetwood’s academies are known for combining world-class coaching with a community-focused approach, offering programs for players of all levels, from juniors to aspiring professionals. The new Yas Links site will extend that same philosophy.

“It’s such a privilege,” Fleetwood added. “Every experience I have, I try to learn from and pass on to as many people as possible. I believe in the game so much, and I’ve been lucky to have had the academy in Southport and Dubai with amazing partners like DP World. I’m proud of the community we’ve built and the ecosystem around it. To open another academy in a region that means so much to me is a great sign of that growth.”
