Emiliano Grillo ended a nearly eight-year victory drought on the PGA Tour with a birdie on the second playoff hole to beat Adam Schenk at the Charles Schwab Challenge. But it wasn’t without a nail-biting finish.

The 30-year-old from Argentina held a two-shot lead coming to the final hole at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, only to push his drive into an aqueduct to the right of the fairway. After taking a drop and a penalty, he played his third shot off a concrete path, the ball coming up short of the green. When he was unable to get up-and-down, his double-bogey let Schenk, who held a share of the 54-hole lead, back into the tournament. A par on the 18th hole gave him a two-over 72 for the day, but matched Grillo’s eight-under 272 total.

Grillo and Schenk made par on the first playoff hole, a return trip to the 18th. They then proceeded to the par-3 16th, where Grillo stuck his tee shot to four feet, eight inches. Schenk, meanwhile, hit his shot over the green and while his second stopped three feet from the hole, Grillo closed things out by making the birdie, a second win to go with the title at the 2015 Frys.com Open, his first start as an official member of the PGA Tour.

With the win, Grillo claimed the $1.566 million first-place prize money payout from an overall purse of $8.7 million
