The International Series returned to Morocco for its fourth edition, gaining fresh momentum with Visit Morocco on board as presenting partner for the first time and a USD $2,000,000 prize purse on offer.
The new partnership with Visit Morocco was established through the Moroccan National Tourism Office and aligned with its objective of combining elite sport with tourism promotion, while highlighting Morocco as a premier golf travel destination in the region and beyond.
The tournament had made phenomenal progress since its launch in 2022, when Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond triumphed. This was made possible by the fantastic support of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association – both chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid – reflecting a shared vision to grow the game in the North African nation.
Major champions and LIV Golf captains Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia headed a star-studded field. They were part of a strong 18-player LIV Golf contingent for the event, which returned to the iconic Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam from June 11–14.
It was the third event of the season on The International Series – the upper echelon of tournaments on the Asian Tour that provides a pathway to the LIV Golf League.
Taichi Kho added yet another feather to his cap when he secured his first International Series event and won the second title on the Asian Tour at the US$2 million International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco.
