A second golf course owned by Donald Trump has been vandalised by pro-Palestinian supporters, this time at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg, County Clare.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening, just as Trump was meeting Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin at the White House for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

According to Gardaí (Irish police), vandals dug up two greens and planted Palestinian flags in what appears to be a political protest. Graffiti referencing the Israel-Gaza conflict was also found, criticising Trump and showing support for Palestine.

When the Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, mentioned Doonbeg during the Oval Office meeting with Donald Trump, the American President called it “a beautiful place, wonderful place. I’ll get there sometime. I hope – I hope soon.

“In fact, if we meet, we’ll meet at Doonbeg. I would love it, but I hope to be able to get there.”

This follows a similar attack last week at Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland, where pro-Palestinian activists sprayed red paint and damaged parts of the course.

Police are investigating, and the search for those responsible is ongoing.
