Abu Dhabi City Golf Club hosted the second round of the highly successful Golf Sixes League, Abu Dhabi. Seven teams from Abu Dhabi and the Emirates Golf Federation competed. Coming out on top for the second round was Yas Acres Golf & Country Club.

Golf Sixes League is a development initiative originally introduced and supported by The R&A but now managed by the Emirates Golf Federation. It aims to introduce young people to golf in a fun and inclusive environment while incorporating a competitive element. The format features seven squads of 12 players, who rotate a team of six during each round, competing in a two-ball Texas Scramble stroke play format across six holes. The best two scores from the three pairs contribute to the team’s overall score.

After plenty of fun and good sportsmanship, Yas Acres Golf & Country Club won Round 2, narrowly edging out Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club by two points. Following a count-back, Abu Dhabi City Golf Club secured third place.

The Golf Sixes League will return to action on 5th April at Yas Links Golf Club.
