Justin Thomas has had a memorable couple of days on the golf course. On Friday at the Players, he completed a remarkable 16-shot turnaround, firing a course-record-tying 62 to make the cut. Early Tuesday, JT then went viral for a hilarious clip of his match-winning chip-in against Grant Horvat after toying with the YouTube star as only he could. Finally, a few hours later, Thomas helped lead Atlanta Drive G.C. to the first-ever TGL Final with this a once-in-a-lifetime bounce that had the entire SoFi Center hanging on the edge of their seats. Check it out.

From the looks of things, JT finally has his mojo back. It’s been a rocky couple of years for the fan favourite and two-time Wanamaker winner, but the clouds are finally parting. Tuesday’s fortuitous kick helped Thomas win the first hole of singles, giving Atlanta a 5-2 lead with five to play. Arthur Blank’s boys didn’t look back from there, ultimately running out 9-3 winners.
Thomas’ strong play hasn’t been limited to the golf Matrix, however. He’s posted three top-tens this season, including a solo second at The American Express. He also ended 2024 with a T2 at the ZOZO Championship in October and a third-place finish at the Hero World Challenge in December. All signs point to a breakthrough win sooner than later … especially if JT keeps getting the rub of the green like he got on Tuesday.
