With each passing day, golf and technology become more and more entwined. What used to be a game of man vs. nature played with wooden woods on actual grass has become a swirling metaverse of tracer lines, data points and simulator screens. Just spend five minutes watching TGL if you don’t believe us.

While purists will argue the decline of pro golf and its increased emphasis on technology are no coincidence, modern innovation still has a place and purpose in the sport, especially for fans. For instance, few of us will be able to make it to Ponte Vedra for The Players Championship next month, but thanks to Cosm, golf fans in Los Angeles and Dallas will now get to experience The Players as if they were actually walking the fairways of TPC Sawgrass.

Like IMAX on steroids, the cutting-edge theatre experience drops fans into a domed auditorium featuring 87 feet of 12K LED screens reaching from the floor to the ceiling, forever blurring the lines between viewer and participant. Cosm theaters have screened everything from the NBA Finals to College Football Playoff games, and will now offer guests an entirely new way of experiencing The Players Championship’s iconic 16th, 17th and 18th holes.

“Through Shared Reality, The Dome at Cosm will transport guests straight to TPC Sawgrass, evoking the feeling of being at THE PLAYERS Championship and providing a never-before-seen perspective of the iconic Island Green,” says Peter Murphy, Senior Vice President, Content and Media at Cosm.

While the groundbreaking dome experience will provide the most immersive experience short of actually being at the Stadium Course, it doesn’t stop there. Cosm will offer custom Players-themed food and beverage options and official Players Championship merchandise, as well as additional entertainment options like ‘PGA Tour 2K25’ gaming stations, linear broadcast feeds in “The Hall” and even Los Angeles Golf Club’s mobile Dryvebox simulator, which will give fans at the L.A. location a chance to play TPC Sawgrass’ iconic par-3 17th.

Tickets for individual Players Championship rounds are now available online and on the Cosm app, starting at $33 per person for reserved dome seating.
