Chances are you’ve played Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club’s picturesque par 4 17th and 18th holes into the prevailing wind at some time and have a few scorecard blobs to prove it.

When the sea breeze rolls in off the Creek, there are few tougher closing stretches in the UAE, particularly the 18th where the front of the green is protected my yet more water.

The good news is, with a few simple changes to your setup, an extra club or two and an easy swing, you can avoid those ballooning shots that end up wet.
