A large fan structure at Oakmont Country Club sustained major damage ahead of June’s major championship.

The Trophy Club, a 25,000-square foot upgraded ticket facility, took the brunt of severe storms on Tuesday night in the Pittsburgh area, according to Pittsburgh’s ABC and CBS affiliates.

“We’re grateful to report that everyone is safe—and that’s what matters most,” the USGA said in a statement.

The 2025 U.S. Open will be held at Oakmont from June 12-15. The historic course will be hosting the tournament for a record 10th time.

The USGA said there was “significant damage,” but that the Trophy Club was the only structure affected. According to officials, the structure hadn’t been completed yet.

“With six weeks remaining until the championship, we’re confident in our ability to get back on track and do not anticipate any long-term impact,” the USGA added in the statement.
