Scottie Scheffler will have his bag man back for the Tour Championship.
Ted Scott, who’s served as Scheffler’s caddie since late 2021, missed the final round of the FedEx Cup St. Jude Championship due to a personal matter, an absence that extended to last week’s BMW Championship. However, according to PGA Tour writer Paul Hodowanic, Scott will serve as Scheffler’s loop in the season finale at East Lake this week.
Scott has been with Scheffler for 17 wins and four major championships. He also helped Scheffler win gold at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Last week Scheffler employed Mike Cromie, who usually works for Chris Kirk. The partnership paid off, as Scheffler captured his fifth tour victory of 2025. Brad Payne, the tour’s chaplain, jumped in for Scott in Memphis, where Scheffler finished T-3.
Scheffler enters the week No. 1 in the standings as he attempts to defend last year’s FedEx Cup win. However, unlike the past several years, there will be no starting strokes in Atlanta.
