Swiss national Rami Samawi has captured the elusive 2025 Jumeirah Golf Estates Amateur Open.
Having recently signed with VCU Golf (Virginia Commonwealth University) in the USA, Samawi posted rounds of 72, 70, and a final-round 70 to finish at four under par, securing a one-shot victory over a three-way tie for second place featuring Viktor Kofod-Olsen, Anca Mateiu, and Sam Mullane.
Samawi entered the final round three shots behind overnight leader Sam Mullane of the UAE. However, a determined Sunday performance—capped by a clutch birdie-birdie finish on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates—sealed his victory in the 136-player field.
