“Preparations continue apace for the upcoming Aramco Team Series in New York and Jeddah. Our team is working incredibly hard to ensure these are delivered successfully and it’s now time to enjoy the action that unfolds.

“It is thanks to the tireless support of the Golf Saudi team that we are able to continue our journey in implementing our vision to not only grow golf across the Kingdom but also bring it to new audiences globally. These ongoing events, and particularly developments here at home in the Kingdom, will help us to inspire the next generation of young Saudis and Saudi golfers.

“We have recently marked our 92nd National Day on September 23, and I would like to pass on my best wishes to the entire Golf Saudi family. To mark the occasion, we held celebrations at all of our operated golf courses to encourage families and children to come along and try golf for the first time. This is part of our plans to engage with local culture and the Saudi public, as well as our long-term objectives to become a destination for exceptional experiences.

“It was such a busy month, thanks to the hard work of the Mass Participation team. First of all over in Jeddah, where the team led by Somaya Al Sharief organised an activation at Dar Al Hikma University. Coaches Ghozlene Saki and Alreem Alqubaisi travelled to Jeddah to introduce game of golf to over 200 ladies using golf simulators at the campus.

“On the same educational theme and to welcome back school students, parents and teachers the Mass Participation team hosted a fun event at Al Tarbiyah Al Namouthajiyah school in Riyadh. This activation led by Mauth Al Sheikh and delivered by coaches Faraj, Sayaf and Michael gave the students and parents the opportunity to see and try golf and understand what the students will now be learning inside the school in the Golf Saudi School Programme. The Mass Participation team also delivered refresher ‘Train The Trainer’ sessions for all PE teachers at Al Rowad, Al Olaya and Al Namouthajiyah Schools. The programme is designed to train PE teachers to deliver golf sessions as a part of the curriculum. This term will see the programme kick off in all three schools for both girls and boys.

“The team also hosted a school trips the ‘Alaa Me Academy’ visited Riyadh Golf Club with 20 students trying golf for the first time. The students played on the driving range and then had a golf course tour and explanation of the game.

“On the corporate front, the team also led a activation for PIF and its employees for National Day. Led by Haifa Zakri, the team hosted the event using golf simulators and mini golf for just under 500 PIF employees.”
