Saudi amateur Saud Al Sharif is looking to emulate his friend and defending champion Faisal Salhab at the Saudi Open at Riyadh Golf Cub.
The youngster shot a seven-under 65 on the first day to sit T2, three shots behind leader Joshua Grenville-Wood, who shot a stunning 62 to take a three-stroke lead in the Asian Development Tour event.
