Rory McIlroy made the trip back across the Atlantic last week, as he was pictured attending as the role of usher to one of the members of his childhood group of friends labelled as the “Mac Pack” at a wedding in Italy.
First reported by the Daily Mail the boyhood pals, from Holywood, Northern Ireland pictured above, are named as (from L-R) Ricky McCormick, golf coach at Holywood golf club, Steven Davidson, brothers Dan and Harry Diamond, McIlroy’s caddie, and Mitchell Tweedie the groom, were all in attendance for the big few days of celebrations in Tuscany.
Tweedie, Chief Operating Officer of sports management group JMC Sport, was marrying his partner Lynsey Agnew, a wealth management specialist.

The wedding, which took place last Wednesday in the Tuscan region of Siena, Italy has come at a turbulent time in 35-year-old McIlroy’s own life, as earlier this month it was announced that the World Number Three was filing for divorce from Erica Stoll, his wife of seven years.
McIlroy’s next event is the RBC Canadian Open starting this Thursday, an event in which he is a two-time winner.
