The newly crowned 2024 LIV Golf League Individual Champion, Jon Rahm, will be joined by four fellow LIV golfers at next week’s acciona Open de España presented by Madrid.

As the World Number 15 currently gears up for the final event on the 2024 LIV Golf season at the Team Championship in Dallas, he won’t be alone in Madrid next week as he is being joined by Legion XIII’s Tyrrell Hatton, 4Aces’ Patrick Reed, and the Spanish duo from the Fireballs’, David Puig and Eugenio Chacarra.

Hatton and Rahm – Andrew Redington

It’s been widely reported that Rahm is set to appeal the sanctions that currently prevent him from playing on the DP World Tour, as has his Ryder Cup (and LIV Golf) teammate Hatton with the pair planning to play further events on the DP World Tour.

Rahm, who is a three-time winner of the Open de España, is scheduled to play the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the Andalucía Masters in October alongside Hatton, who has already competed in the Betfred British Masters in August where he finished in a tie for 18th.

Patrick Reed, if you remember, was awarded Honorary Life Membership of the European Tour in 2019 after the recognition of his Masters Tournament victory the year before, has received a “Tournament Invite” into the $3.25 million dollar prize pool event. This will be Reed’s fifth event of the season in a DP World Tour-sanctioned event, having already competed in The Masters, U.S. PGA Championship, Italian Open and the BMW International Open this year where he finished in a tie for 13th.

Eugenio Chacarra. LIV Golf

“Captain America” will be joined at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid by Chacarra and Puig who are in the event via the “National Spots” (usually given out to up-and-coming national players looking for an opportunity to play in a DP World Tour event, usually for experience.)

David Puig – Khalid Redza Asian Tour

As of today there is still one National Spot to be filled (Sergio??) and two professional tournament invite places, will they be occupied by more LIV players?
