Photo Essay: Inside Quail Hollow Club

That gurgling sound is often from golfers trying to negotiate the 494-yard, par-4 finishing hole, the conclusion to the three-hole stretch known as The Green Mile.
Wallace Walker, 65, has worked as a caddie for 54 years, mostly at private clubs around New York City. Last year he relocated to Charlotte and started looping at Quail Hollow.

The hilly, narrow 343-yard 14th features six bunkers and water down the left side.
