Dubai’s golf scene is set for another major boost with the announcement of a brand new 18-hole golf course at Jumeirah Golf Estates, one of the region’s most respected golf destinations. The new layout will join the existing Earth and Fire courses — both designed by Greg Norman — as part of a major expansion project unveiled by Wasl.
The project, titled Jumeirah Golf Estates – The Next Chapter, forms the centrepiece of a wider 4.68 million sqm masterplan and aims to further elevate Dubai’s position as a world-class golf destination.
The UAE is already home to more than 30 golf courses, and this latest addition signals continued growth in both the game’s popularity and the country’s investment in top-tier facilities.

Chris May, CEO of Dubai Golf, confirmed the course will offer something new and accessible, yet still meet the high standards Jumeirah Golf Estates is known for.
“We’re very, very excited to announce this new golf course — the ‘Next Chapter’ for Jumeirah Golf Estates — building on the legacy that already exists,” he said.
“It will be a little different from Earth and Fire. It’s designed to be very playable and enjoyable for golfers of all levels, offering something unique compared to what we already have.”

Known globally for hosting the DP World Tour’s season-ending DP World Tour Championship, Jumeirah Golf Estates has become synonymous as a golfing destination in the region. The addition of a third, more playable, 18-hole course promises to bring a fresh dynamic to Dubai.
Importantly, the new course will be integrated with a hotel for the first time in the UAE, allowing guests to dine, relax, and play within a seamless golf resort environment.
“One of the most significant aspects of this course is how the hotel is integrated into it,” May added.
“Whether you’re a golfer or not, you’ll be able to take in the views and experience the atmosphere — it’s going to be a beautiful green oasis.”
The golf club will also include a driving range, teaching academy, and a dedicated grass nursery, ensuring high-quality playing surfaces year-round.
H.E. Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim, Group CEO of Wasl, stated: “The unveiling of Jumeirah Golf Estates – The Next Chapter represents a pivotal milestone for Wasl and a defining moment for the evolution of urban development in Dubai.
“Through visionary planning, sustainable design principles, and an unwavering commitment to enhancing quality of life, we are shaping the communities of tomorrow. This is the foundation upon which enduring legacies are built – communities that not only reflect today’s aspirations but also serve the needs of generations to come.”
With the city of Dubai expanding towards Al Maktoum International Airport, the location of the new course is expected to draw even more interest from players living and travelling around Dubai South.
