Moroccan amateur Adam Bresnu will continue to fly the flag for Arab golf on the global stage, as the 20-year-old has confirmed he will be playing in next week’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters on the DP World Tour.
Bresnu made waves just two weeks ago at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic by becoming the first Arab-born golfer to make the cut at a Rolex Series event on the DP World Tour.
After a glittering season in 2024, Bresnu collected nine amateur titles and a tied sixth-place finish at the PIF Saudi International on the Asian Tour’s International Series in Riyadh back in December.
That stellar season led him to receive a spot in the US$9 million Hero Dubai Desert Classic via the Emirates Golf Federation, which allowed him to live out a dream week in Dubai. Not only did he get a practice round with two-time Major winner Jon Rahm, but he also made the cut and was then paired with his idol, 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott.
Currently joining him, in representing the Arab golfing world at the US$2.5 million event, are the UAE’s Adrian Otaegui and Joshua Grenville-Wood, Saudi Arabi’s Shergo Al Kurdi and Qatar’s Saleh Al Kaabi and Daniil Sokolov.
Bresnu, who is the number one NJCAA golfer in the USA, has recently transferred from Odessa College to Texas Tech, the alma mater of multiple Tour winner and Ryder Cup star Ludvig Åberg.
As Adam would say, LET’S GO!
