Moroccan amateur Adam Bresnu has repeated his feat from 12 months ago by not only making the cut at the PIF Saudi International, but once again putting himself very much in the mix heading into the final two rounds.

Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2025 PIF Saudi International

After opening with a bogey-free 66 in Wednesday’s first round, he impressively backed it up the following day with another bogey-free 67 to sit in a tie for ninth place at Riyadh Golf Club in the US$5 million final event on the International Series, and the third from last stop on the Asian Tour calendar.

Despite being surrounded on a stacked leaderboard with the likes of Tyrrell Hatton, Thomas Pieters, Adrian Meronk and Paul Casey, his goal remains “to win”.

“I didn’t travel here for two days just to make the cut, you know?” said a confident Bresnu. “So the goal is to win.

“I know after I shoot low there are so many good players here. I just have to play my A plus, plus, plus, plus game and then I believe I can win.”

The 21-year-old from Rabat is currently studying at Texas Tech University and is leading the Arab wave in the event. His fellow countryman, amateur Reda El Hali, also made the cut.

He tees off today in the third round at 10:32 local time.
