There was no need for Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth to hang around for the prize ceremony at Royal Troon, with the pair finishing in 31st and 25th respectively at the 152nd Open Championship.

Presumably, they hopped on their private jet from Glasgow’s Prestwick airport, a stone’s throw from Troon and crossed over the Irish Sea to Dublin.

Maybe Shane Lowry gave them some advice, as they timed it perfectly if they wanted a good atmosphere for a night out in Dublin. For those not up-to-date with Irish National Sports, Sunday was the GAA’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship between Clare and Cork at Croke Park.

I’m sure JT and Jordan were well aware of the sports rules, in what went down as one of the greatest matches ever seen as Clare were All-Ireland champions for the fifth time after finally triumphing over Cork in a 90-minute epic ending Clare 3-29 and Cork 1-34 (AET).

Cork fan Kevin Sheehan (pictured), managed to grab a selfie with a rather wind-beaten JT in a Dawson Street pub, which he sent it into balls.ie.

Fairplay to JT for getting into the spirit of the game, as he also sported a Cork zip-up top.
