Jumeirah Golf Estates hosted the annual Community Cup, over the Fire course, which saw teams assemble from the different 16 communities around the estate. The format was a pairs betterball stableford, and the best 3 pairs from each community would be combined to give their community total.

At the prizegiving ceremony; the Redwood Community were eager to retain the Community Cup as last year’s winners, paired with the fact only four points separated the runner-up Community from the winners.

However, with a combined score of 126 stableford points from their best three pairs, Alandalus Community were crowned the 2025 Jumeirah Golf Estates Community Cup Winners, which was followed by a loud cheer in the prizegiving ceremony. The defending Champions, Redwood Community, had a fall from grace, finishing in fifth place on this occasion.

The winners of the Pairs Betterball Stableford event were Gianluca Romano and Lewis Morgan, representing Orange Lake Community, with an impressive 47 stableford points between them. After collecting their first-place winner’s prizes Romano said, “We would like to thank Jumeirah Golf Estates for putting together this great day, it is one that we always look forward to, and is always a great privilege to take part in. We would also like to thank Lee Johnston [Fairway Homes Real Estate] for sponsoring and supporting this event”.

The runner-up pair representing the Whispering Pines – David Warham and David Quinn missed out on first place by three points, with a great score of 44 stableford points. Settling for third place, after a three-way back nine countback with a highly respectable 46 stableford points was Wijesinghe Kosala and Mohamed Hamed, however any disappointment they may have had for only securing third place with such a good score was later squashed, as they came to the stage to collect the Community Cup, alongside their Alandalus teammates.
