This week the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club is playing host to the inaugural Dubai Invitational on the DP World Tour, the first event of five in the region, in the new look International Swing.

The par 4, 410-yard 6th hole is renowned across not only the UAE, but the whole golfing world as having one of the most iconic tee boxes – perched out on a floating jetty.

When stood on the tee box, you’ve got Dubai Creek on the right-hand side of you and about 80-100 yards in front until your nearest bit of dry land!

Still, a stunning spot for a photo opportunity though!

If you make it across in one (dry) piece and depending on the length of your drive. You’ve then got anything between 110 – 190 yards to the green. Lower handicappers should play for the centre of the green with a mid to long iron, with a bail-out area to the right.

Mid to high handicappers may even lay-up, leaving yourself a wedge into the green.

This week on the DP World Tour, after two rounds, it’s ranked the 5th hardest hole for the professionals, with a current scoring average of 4.13.

15 birdies, 79 pars, 21 bogeys and five double bogeys (or worse) currently through 36 holes, in which World Number Two, Rory McIlroy, remains leading the tournament by two shots at 10 under par.
