LIV Golf returns to Singapore for the third consecutive year and this, the fourth event of the season for the league. Adrian Meronk, Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia won the first three events, respectively, and Phil Mickelson finished in third place last week in Hong Kong, marking his best LIV Golf finish to date.

The same cast of characters have moved to Sentosa Golf Club and are playing for the customary $20 million purse, with the winner taking home $4 million. Garcia, Jon Rahm and Dean Burmester are the top three in the season’s individual standings. Garcia’s Fireballs squad tops the team race after winning the last two events.

Garcia is now the 11th different player and the Fireballs are the fifth different team to lead the points standings.

Brooks Koepka is the defending champion in Singapore after winning the fourth of his five LIV Golf titles. He later went on the win at the Greenbrier.

John Catlin earned a spot in the lineup this week by winning LIV Golf’s first qualifying playoff competition. He will replace Jinichira Kozuma in the Iron Heads lineup.

Of course, this event goes up against the PGA Tour’s crown jewel, the Players Championship, which is playing for a $25 million purse. Making news a couple weeks ago was Laurie Canter, who became the first former LIV Golf player to be allowed to play in the Players.

Check back here Sunday for updates when the competition is complete.
