There we have it. After 44 tournaments, spanning across 24 countries, we are complete with the DP World Tour’s 2024 Race To Dubai.
The DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates saw Rory McIlroy grab his sixth Harry Vardon Trophy, equalling Seve Ballesteros and his third DP World Tour Championship.
With a reduced field introduced for the DP World Tour Play-Offs, only the top 50 available players in the Race to Dubai rankings, after the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, were eligible to compete in this final event. The last man in the field was Italy’s Francesco Laporta ranked 52nd as Jon Rahm and Ludvig Aberg were non-attendees.
Rory McIlroy, Thriston Lawrence, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, Adrian Meronk, Tommy Fleetwood, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and the rest of the crop, all competed for a purse of US $10 million, the largest cheque in the whole DP World Tour season and the biggest of the five Rolex Series tournaments.
In addition, the leading 10 players from the final Race to Dubai Rankings & Non-Member Race to Dubai Points List Bonus Pool at the conclusion of the DP World Tour Championship were eligible for a share of a US $6 million bonus pool. Players must have participated in at least 4 Counting Tournaments in the current season, including the DP World Tour Championship, to be eligible for a share of this bonus pool.
