The DP World Tour’s Turkish Airlines Open returned after a six-year hiatus for its eighth edition, taking place at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort in Antalya, with an increased prize fund of $2.75 million.
European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald made the journey to Regnum Carya in Antalya, alongside 10 winners on the 2025 Race to Dubai this season; Alejandro del Rey, Calum Hill, Ryggs Johnston, Jacques Kruyswijk, Haotong Li, Richard Mansell, Dylan Naidoo, John Parry, Marco Penge, and Johannes Veerman.
Seven Turkish players competed in the field this past week, thanks to a partnership with the Turkish Golf Federation. A highlight performance came from Leon Acikalin, who became the first Turkish player to make the cut in this event, finishing in a tie for 33rd.
The Turkish Airlines Open was previously part of the Race to Dubai from 2013-2019, with eight-time DP World Tour winner Tyrell Hatton claiming the title in the last edition after a thrilling play-off under the lights at The Montgomerie Maxx Royal in 2019. Other former winners include his fellow European Ryder Cup players Justin Rose (2017, 2018), Thorbjørn Olesen (2016) and Victor Dubuisson (2013, 2015), and four-time Major winner Brooks Koepka (2014).
A brilliant closing 64 saw 22-year-old Martin Couvra claim victory at Regnum Carya with a 17-under-par total, two shots ahead of China’s Haotong Li and Spain’s Jorge Campillo.
