The DP World Tour headed back to Africa this week as the International Swing continued with the Magical Kenya Open. After a brief break in the schedule, several familiar faces from the DP World Tour returned to action.

South Africa’s Jovan Rebula, nephew of Major winner and former World Number One Ernie Els, was making just his 21st DP World Tour appearance on an invitation, alongside former LIV Golfer from Spain, Eugenio Chacarra.

A number of Kenyan golfers in the field, included qualifier Njoroge Kibugu, who made the cut alongside his brother Mutahi in 2023. There was also a final opportunity for both professional and amateur golfers to earn a spot in the tournament, with three places available through a 36-hole one-day qualifier at Vetlab Sports Club in Nairobi, just a short drive from Muthaiga Golf Club. Uganda’s Willy Deus, Malawi’s Paul Chidale, and Nigeria’s Sunday Olapade earning their spots. Meanwhile, eight Kenyan professionals had already secured their place through a 72-hole qualifier at Muthaiga Golf Club last month.

The spoils went to South African Jacques Kruyswijk, who claimed his maiden DP World Tour title after holding off the challenge of in-form playing partner John Parry to win the 2025 Magical Kenya Open presented by absa by two shots.
