The DP World Tour welcomed the inaugural Hainan Classic this week, taking place at Mission Hills Haikou, with a prize fund of $2.55 million.

As the fourth and final stop on the Asian Swing, this event played a key role in the 2025 Race to Dubai. Even more importantly, players were chasing the Asian Swing Rankings, knowing that a top-three finish at the end of the stretch would punch their ticket to the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. The top three prior to the Hainan Classic were Keita Nakajima, Eugenio Chacarra and last week’s winner Ashun Wu.

Englishman Marco Penge secured his maiden DP World Tour title after signing for a closing 67 to win the 2025 Hainan Classic by three shots. The 2023 HotelPlanner Tour Number One finished the tournament on 17 under par after making a total of seven birdies and two bogeys in the final round.

Penge not only wins his maiden title on the DP World Tour, but he also jumps into the third-place qualification spot in the 2025 PGA Championship, alongside Chacarra in second and Nakajima in first.
