The DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai season continued this week with the third staging of the Genesis Championship, taking place at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club, Cheonan, South Korea, from 23-26 October 2025.

The final event on the Back 9, was a $4 million tournament, which holds a key place on the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai, a season that concludes on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai, UAE, in November.

The Genesis Championship offered DP World Tour members their final opportunities to qualify for a place in the DP World Tour Play-offs, taking place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and to retain their playing rights for the 2026 Race to Dubai. The Top 110 on the Race to Dubai Rankings at the conclusion of the Genesis Championship would keep their cards for next season.

Former World Number One and Major Champion Adam Scott was just one of the headline acts at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club. The Australian was joined by fellow former Masters Champion Hideki Matsuyama, Thomas Detry, who became the first Belgian to win on the PGA TOUR earlier this year at the WM Pheonix Open, and DP World Tour winners Laurie Canter, Angel Hidalgo, Pablo Larrazábal, Keita Nakajima and Elvis Smylie.

Defending champion Byeong Hun An was just one of a host of Korean stars in the field this past week, playing alongside Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim.

Woo Jeong Hills Country Club has hosted 21 editions of the Kolon Korea Open on the Asian Tour from 2003 to 2024 and was designed by Perry O. Dye, son of renowned architect Pete Dye. Former winners at the venue include Major Champions John Daly, Vijay Singh and YE Yang.

Junghwan Lee delighted jubilant home fans as he surged to his first DP World Tour title at the Genesis Championship.

As a result, Lee will take up membership on the DP World Tour and he will travel to the first event of the DP World Tour Play-Offs at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship next month.
