The HotelPlanner Tour was back in action after a one-week break as they headed to Scotland for the 17th staging of the Farmfoods Scottish Challenge supported by The R&A, with a prize fund of £250,000.

Event 19 of 29 on the 2025 Road to Mallorca made its debut at SCHLOSS Roxburghe, in the heart of the Scottish Borders near Kelso.

12 winners from the 2025 season teed it up at SCHLOSS Roxburghe: David Law; Maximilian Steinlechner; David Horsey; James Morrison; Rocco Repetto Taylor; Jonathan Goth-Rasmussen; Renato Paratore; Quim Vidal; Joshua Berry; Wilco Nienaber; Jamie Rutherford and Daniel Van Tonder — all vying for a share of the £250,000 prize fund.

The list of past champions has been dominated by British talent, with 11 victors from home shores, including DP World Tour winners David Law from Scotland, who won in 2018, and England’s Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston, who recorded his first professional win at the 2014 tournament.

While there had only been four non-British winners, the list does include five-time Major winner Brooks Koepka, whose triumph in 2013 was his third of the season and earned him automatic promotion to the DP World Tour.

Designed by the internationally renowned golf course architect Dave Thomas, the SCHLOSS Roxburghe has a mixture of holes using the natural contours of the landscape, the mature woodland edge and the scenic views. The signature par 5 hole ‘the Viaduct’, flanked by the river Teviot commands a wonderful position from the elevated tee with the green framed by the famous Roxburgh Viaduct.

Daniel Young sealed a maiden HotelPlanner Tour title on home soil at the Farmfoods Scottish Challenge supported by The R&A.

The Scotsman signed for a closing one under par round of 70 at SCHLOSS Roxburghe to finish 19 under par for the week, one shot clear of Frenchman Julien Quesne in second.
