The HotelPlanner Tour travelled to Sweden for the fourth edition of the Dormy Open this week, with an increased prize fund to €300,000—taking place from 28-31 August.
Event 23 of 29 on the 2025 Road to Mallorca was making a maiden appearance at Upsala Golf Club.
10 winners from the 2025 HotelPlanner Tour season teed it up in Sweden: Filippo Celli; JC Ritchie; James Morrison; Felix Mory; Rocco Repetto Taylor; Jonathan Goth-Rasmussen; Clement Charmasson; Renato Paratore; Jamie Rutherford and Daniel Van Tonder — all vying for a share of the €300,000 prize fund.
Upsala Golf Club was formed in 1937, when until the early 1960s, the people of Uppland played on a 9-hole course in Hågadalen on the outskirts of Uppsala. In 1964, the new 18-hole course was inaugurated at Håmö Gård in Läby, a few kilometres outside Uppsala, where they now offer 36 holes of golf.
In August 2007, Canadian architect Robert Kains began a complete renovation of the Main Course at Upsala. The renovation was completed in time for the season opening in May 2010, with its fabulous combination of parkland and forest holes.
In 2013, Upsala Golf Club became the 6th club in Sweden to be GEO-certified (Golf Environment Organisation), which means that the club today has the highest environmental certification that can be achieved in Europe.
Denmark’s Anders Emil Ejlersen produced rounds of 63, 68, 64 and 65 to win his maiden title on the HotelPlanner Tour by one shot at the Dormy Open, after Iceland’s Haraldur Magnus fired a final round 60 to finish in second place.
