The DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai season continued this week with the Danish Golf Championship, taking place just outside Copenhagen at Furesø Golf Klub from 11–14 August.

The $2.75 million tournament was the final event in the Closing Swing, the fifth and final Global Swing, which forms phase one of the DP World Tour’s 2025 season.

The quartet of Højgaard twins Nicolai and Rasmus, Niklas Nørgaard, and Thorbjørn Olesen returned to home soil this week when they teed it up in the Danish Golf Championship. They joined a field that included a number of other Danish favourites, such as victorious 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn, DP World Tour winners Lucas Bjerregaard and Jeff Winther, and rising stars Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Jacob Skov Olesen.

Joining the strong Danish contingent were a host of top DP World Tour players, including former Open Champion Francesco Molinari, Rolex Series winner Rafa Cabrera Bello, and recent DP World Tour champions Kristoffer Reitan and Marco Penge, who were sat third and fifth respectively in the Race to Dubai Rankings, prior to the tournament.

Furesø Golf Klub was established in 1974 and designed by Jan Cederholm, with a renovation in 2015 by Tom Mackenzie. It is one of the country’s largest golf clubs, with 1,800 members.

England’s Marco Penge captured his second DP World Tour title of the season, after rounds of 64, 68, 69 and 67 for a tournament total 16 under par, edging out home favourite Rasmus Højgaard by a single stroke. The win moves him to second place on the Race To Dubai Rankings, just one place back from Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy.
