The 2025 AIG Women’s Open was the year’s final major, and provided a fitting send-off at Royal Porthcawl in Wales.

The prize fund for the AIG Women’s Open, which was being played at Royal Porthcawl was $9.75 million, an increase of $250,000 on the previous year.

The prize fund for the Championship has tripled since before The R&A’s partnership with AIG began in 2019. This year the Champion took home $1,462,500, the highest amount in the AIG Women’s Open’s 49-year history.

The winner on Sunday at Royal Porthcawl, 24-year-old Miyu Yamashita from Japan, earned $1,462,500, the highest amount in the 49-year history of the AIG Women’s Open. The purse has increased each of the last five years. The R&A and AIG partnership began in 2019.
