The DP World Tour’s AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open wrapped up the season’s Opening Swing with a US$1.2 million prize fund. The event was held at Heritage La Réserve Golf Links at Heritage Bel Ombre, Mauritius, and served as the final of five tournaments in the Opening Swing.

John Parry returned to defend his title, but he faced a strong international field aiming to dethrone him in the Indian Ocean.

Former champions Dylan Frittelli and George Coetzee joined Parry in trying to become the first player to win the event twice, while Nicolas Colsaerts and Ross Fisher added Ryder Cup pedigree to the field.

In-form Jayden Schaper arrived on the back of his first DP World Tour victory on home soil at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, while fellow South African Michael Hollick looked to build on an impressive start to the season after earning his place via the Sunshine Tour pathway.

England’s Dan Brown earned dual membership with the PGA TOUR for 2026 through last season’s Race to Dubai and made his first start of the new campaign in Mauritius.

With local favourite Pierre Pellegrin, Mauritius resident Marcel Siem and Julien Sale, who grew up on the nearby island of Réunion, the event gave fans plenty to enjoy.

The 2025 AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open was played for a total purse of $1.2 million, with $204,000 awarded to the winner, reflecting the DP World Tour’s standard 17 percent payout structure.

Jayden Schaper’s fairy-tale start to the 2026 season continued as he produced a chip-in eagle at the second play-off hole to see off Ryan Gerard and claim his second DP World Tour title in as many weeks at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
