The second edition of the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship unfolded this week in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with Laurie Canter taking the spoils in dramatic fashion with a playoff victory at Royal Golf Club.

The stellar field included Major champions Pádraig Harrington, Jimmy Walker, and Patrick Reed, as well as defending champion Dylan Frittelli, further cementing Bahrain’s reputation as a premier global golf destination. Alongside them, Ryder Cup legends such as Robert Karlsson, Rafa Cabrera Bello, and Bernd Wiesberger also added to the event’s power.

With a generous prize pool of US $2.5 million, the championship also gave homegrown talent a chance to shine, with local Bahrain golfers like Yaseen Le Falher and Ali Al Kowari securing spots. Pakistan’s Aadam Syed earned his place following a victory at the Bahrain Amateur Open, while England’s Tom Sloman secured his spot with a dramatic win at the King Hamad Trophy.

The winner, Laurie Canter, takes home €408,869 while Dan Brown and Pablo Larrazabal, the runner-ups, take home €208,042.
