The Amgen Irish Open got underway on Thursday with a loaded field and no shortage of star power in the opening two rounds.
Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy begins his quest for a second Amgen Irish Open title, as he is paired alongside South African Thriston Lawrence and Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan, while Irishman Shane Lowry and American Brooks Koepka share a marquee grouping along with French star Martin Couvra that is sure to draw big galleries.
Ireland’s Padraig Harrington also takes centre, paired with Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas. England’s Tyrrell Hatton and Marco Penge tee off with Waterford’s Seamus Power, giving fans another strong Irish-English trio to follow.
