A golfer rudely interrupted people eating dinner and enjoying drinks with a wild shot, but wound up walking away a hero.
The fun scene happened at Cabot Links in Nova Scotia, where an outdoor patio is apparently located pretty close to the 18th hole. So it’s not too surprising that one guy’s shot wound up on the wood planks. It’s also not too surprising that a group of fellow golfers gathered around the golf ball and egged the guy on to play it from there.
In the original, longer version of the viral video, the guy first declines, picks up his ball and drops it back on the course. But then he has a change of heart, much to delight of those watching.
After putting his ball back down on the patio, he takes a few practice swings (management probably wasn’t too wild about that) before clipping a fantastic chip shot back onto the green against a beautiful setting sun. And becoming an instant legend in the process. Have a look at his fantastic recovery shot:
“I hope I don’t hook my approach shot near the patio and have to hit in front of everyone.”
Epic finish here at Cabot Links 💯

Well played. Of course, you can’t pick up your ball, drop, then decide to go back to the original spot. And we’re guessing that patio is out of bounds, but whatever, that was awesome. Our hero will be, um, dining out on that one for the rest of his life.
