Pontus Fredriksson claimed the recent 2025 Emirates Men’s Club Championship with scores of 70 and 72, finishing at -2 for the tournament.

In a field of 68 golfers competing in the Strokeplay format, Pontus started Round 1 on the Majlis course with a bogey on hole 2, but quickly bounced back with birdies on holes 3, 5, and 10.

After a two-over par front nine in Round 2, he made a strong comeback, birdieing holes 10, 11, and 13 to secure a three-shot victory.

Raghav Malik finished as the runner-up in the Gross tournament, with rounds of 75 and 70, ending the tournament at +1.  Sanjay Dhandsa finished off the top-three with scores of 72 and 74, ending the tournament at +2.

Division A

Priyam Godiwala won the A Division with rounds of 68 and 71, finishing with a total of -5 net. In round 1, Priyam went on a remarkable run in the middle of his back nine, making net eagles on Holes 12 and 14, followed by a gross birdie on hole 18.

Round 2 began with a slow start as he bogeyed hole 2, but he quickly bounced back, making a gross birdie on the difficult par-5 5th hole to regain momentum and secure his victory.

Rakesh Shah finished as the runner-up in Division A with rounds of 74 and 69, ending with a -1 net total.

Division B

Deepak Nicholas claimed the top spot in Division B with rounds of 69 and 71, finishing with a total of -4. He played an exceptional back nine in Round 1, making a net eagle on Hole 14, followed by net birdies on Holes 16 and 18.

Building on that momentum, Deepak continued his strong play into Round 2 on the Faldo Course, making net birdies on Holes 4, 6, and the tough 7th hole to take victory.

Just one stroke behind at -3 with rounds of 69 and 72, Andrea Cappalini finished in second place.

Best Gross Round 1

Graham Pascal posted the Best Gross Round 1 with a 75 (+3). He got off to a great start, playing the first five holes in -1, but made bogeys on holes 6 and 7. Despite the setback, Graham bounced back with a gross birdie on Hole 14, finishing the round with a strong performance.

Best Net Round 1

Anil Shivanna claimed the Best Net Round 1 with a 69 (-3). He had an impressive back nine on the Majlis Course, starting with a net birdie on hole 12, followed by a gross birdie on hole 13 and another net birdie on hole 14, showcasing his strong finish to the round.

Best Gross Round 2

Vedant Pal posted the Best Gross score in Round 2 with a 76 (BB9). He delivered an excellent back nine on the Faldo Course, carding a -1, which included three gross birdies.

Best Net Round 2

And finally, Edouard Meyer claimed the Best Net score in Round 2 with a -2 net 70. He got off to an impressive start on the front nine, making a net eagle on hole 3, followed by a net birdie on hole 4 and another net eagle on hole 5. His strong form continued on the back nine, where he made four consecutive net birdies, showcasing a strong performance throughout the round.

At the prize presentation, Emirates Golf Club’s Vice-Captain Scott Campbell extended gratitude to the sponsors, DEXNET, for elevating the 2025 Men’s Club Championship. Nico Visser, the Director of Golf, thanked all the participants for playing and made a special mention of the change in format, expressing eagerness to receive everyone’s feedback. A special note of appreciation was also given to Matt Perry and the Golf Course Maintenance team for their swift work in turning around the Faldo Course.
