After an eventful—and successful—2024, golf fans were left wondering what Bryson DeChambeau would do for an encore. Turns out, his first big moment of 2025 involved one of those fans.
DeChambeau won a second U.S. Open in June, but it was his viral hole-in-one challenge in November that arguably drew even more attention. For 16 days, Bryson held the golf world captivated by attempting to make an ace by hitting a golf ball over his house and into his backyard golf hole. In case you missed it, well, mission accomplished.

There were plenty of copycats after that, but on Thursday we saw another amazing video released by the LIV star. In it, he let a fan take a crack at the challenge and to Bryson’s amazement, the guy made an ace. On just his fifth(!) try.

Unreal stuff. And how about that reaction from Bryson? He went even more nuts than when he made the hole-in-one himself.
Even better? Apparently, the fan earned $100K for pulling this off.
So this is amazing on multiple levels. But mostly because Bryson was crazy enough to let some random dude hit golf balls over his house. Yes, there was a net set up to stop particularly thin shots, but still. Anyway, we’re glad this turned out so well. For everyone involved.
