The Egyptian Golf Federation has announced that it will host the 2025 Pan-Arab Junior and Ladies’ Golf Championship from Wednesday, 7 May, to Saturday, 10 May 2025. The tournament will take place at both Madinaty Golf Club and Katameya Dunes Golf Club in Cairo, under the sanction of the Arab Golf Federation.

The prestigious championship will feature five divisions across boys’ and girls’ age categories, in addition to a ladies’ division. It is a tournament steeped in tradition, with some categories being contested for the 24th, 16th, 5th, 4th, and 2nd time, respectively.

Participation is open to all Arab golfers through their respective national federations, provided they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the tournament’s rules and regulations.

Eligible countries include Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Arab Golf Federation plays a vital role in the global golf ecosystem, working to unify the governance of the sport across the Arab world while promoting its development by creating enhanced opportunities for Arab players, both regionally and internationally.

Omar Hisham Talaat Moustafa, the newly appointed President of the Egyptian Golf Federation, expressed his enthusiasm:

“It is an honour for Egypt and the EGF to host the first amateur event on the Arab Golf Federation’s 2025 calendar. Co-hosting the championship at Madinaty and Katameya Dunes marks a new chapter for golf in Egypt under the Federation’s new leadership. We have ambitious plans to elevate the sport and bring top-level amateur and professional tournaments to Egypt, the Arab world, the MENA region, and Africa.”

He added:

“For the first time, this year’s championship will actively encourage public attendance, especially from Madinaty City. We are organising a ‘Festival of Golf’ at Madinaty Golf Club on Thursday and Friday, with golf activations, entertainment, live music, and food stations. Our aim is to attract families, young people, and individuals of all backgrounds to enjoy the game in a fun and welcoming environment—and hopefully begin their journey in golf through our ‘Pyramid of Learning’ approach.”

“We look forward to showcasing our outstanding golf facilities, welcoming everyone with the warmth of Egyptian hospitality, and delivering an unforgettable experience for all players, delegations, guests, and spectators.”
