Reports are in that both Poland’s Adrian Meronk and Englishman Tyrrell Hatton are the latest editions to the LIV Golf League for 2024.

It is reported that both will compete in next week’s season-opening event in Mayakoba, Sports Illustrated’s Bob Harig reported Wednesday. The story was first reported by The Times of London.

Dubai resident, Meronk, funnily enough, just earned his PGA Tour card by finishing within the top 10 in last year’s DP World Tour ‘Eligibility Ranking’. The four-time DP World Tour winner finished second to Rory McIlroy at last week’s 35th edition on the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

The Pole was also awarded with the Seve Ballesteros Award earlier last week after being voted Player of the Year by his fellow members on the DP World Tour.

The Pole earned 38% of the votes cast by his fellow members, with Race to Dubai Champion Rory McIlroy taking second place. Ryder Cup debutant Nicolai Højgaard and Viktor Hovland, who clinched the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup, were in joint third place.

Another player who has flirted on and off with LIV Golf is England’s Tyrrell Hatton, who last weekend, at Emirates Golf Club, said he was staying with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour when speaking to media in Dubai.

Hatton was even announced yesterday to be in the field for the PGA Tour’s WM Phoenix Open, Feb. 8-11, the week of LIV Golf’s second event in Las Vegas.

A source said a deal is close but not confirmed that he would join Jon Rahm’s team, a 13th team in the league which has yet to be officially named.
